Digital Literacy and Online Safety in Elementary Schools
NLMUSD Elementary schools will help keep our students safe online through CyberSafety Week in November, 2016. Teachers should plan to conduct three 45 minute lessons to cover online safety and cyberbullying, digital citizenship, copyright, research, and information literacy.
Teachers have the option of printing the lesson plan and handouts below, or downloading the keynote (or Powerpoint) and using the lesson script. These are complete self-contained lessons, but please preview them as some require some preparation.
Please complete the quick survey by the end of Cybersafety week by selecting the link at the bottom of this page. This documentation will be used to demonstrate compliance with Assembly bill 307 and the Child Internet Protection Act.
For answers to questions about these activities, please contact the your School's Instructional Coach or Ernesto Centeno.
