Our children have never known a world without cell phones, Google, and social media. They are fearless with technology and seem to easily understand how to navigate applications and online resources. They communicate online and collaborate to create media and online content with and for "friends" , some of which they have never met in person.
But growing up in this digital world doesn't mean they always know how to use these tools effectively or make informed and safe choices. They have instant access to the same world of information and multimedia that you and I do, but without the life experience to help them understand it.
The following resources will be used by teachers in NLMUSD as we guide and support our students to become online-savvy, responsible digital citizens who can thrive in a connected world.
